Hotel De Zalm has a history spanning five generations, dating back to 1515. Since 1993, the hotel has been run by grandson Frank Rastelli. This makes the business part of the Rastelli Group.

The hotel has deluxe rooms, a restaurant, a café and meeting facilities. It is centrally located on the main square in Herentals. The restaurant overlooks the main square and serves both Belgian and French cuisine.
